Sophomer – polymeric material platform for immunochemical assays
Sophomer s.r.o. is an academic startup founded by a group of people who come from both industry and academia. The Sophomer vision is to bring together two seemingly unrelated fields, immunoassays and polymer chemistry, to help anyone who uses immunochemical assays in their work. One of the startup’s first and widely applicable products is SophoMer™ F10, a polymer that can replace the mainly used bovine serum albumin in immunochemical assays, currently a component without which the development of immunological analytics is almost unimaginable.

What & How We Do
We offer a solution for issues in immunochemical assays caused by interactions with materials used in assays, nonspecific interactions in solutions, etc. As a first product, we offer a fully synthetic replacement for Bovine serum albumin (BSA) in ELISA assays. For this purpose, we developed our first product, SophomerTM F10, which is currently available on the market.
We are open for collaboration or participation in the development of your assay. We can easily adjust the variants of our product to specific needs of the customer – various levels of purity (non-sterile or sterile), various forms of final product (powder or solution).
Our company is highly flexible, with strong links to academia. This allows us to tailor our polymer materials to your exact needs.
